Munro  Scott  Orr    (1874 —  ?)

Orr was a painter, etcher and illustrator and brother of Stuart Orr. Houfe describes his work as "bold and posterish" and said to be influenced by William Nicholson?s thick border lines.

In his Arabian Nights, Orr concentrates almost exclusively on figures, with particular emphasis on the face, creating people so different, one imagines he was painting from life. For the most part he presents his figures free of context or background. He gives several characters the quirky habit of either losing their right shoe or completely mislaying it!
